My friend Josh on Gab posted this brief comment. I was going to just quote him there, but I got so fired up thinking about what to say that it turned into its own post.
Dictionaries aren't very trustworthy lately, but this particular definition hasn't been butchered. Frankly, it didn't need to be; it was a steaming pile of wokeness from its relatively recent inception.
Egalitarian is just a fancy word for what should really be described in English as "equalism," to go along with all the related pathologies of sexism, racism, nepotism, etc. Equalism is the religious belief that "all men are created equal." Note that this is religious only in the sense that it is based not on reason but on faith. Neither the religion nor the faith in question here are in any way Christian. Scripture is crystal clear in condemning this invention. And as our Creator, God should know how He made us.
God tells us He created us to be inequal. Our own eyes confirm this every second of every day. Some are tall, some are short. Some are strong, some are weak. Some are brilliant, some are baffled. It is a damnable lie to deny any of this: to deny Creation is to deny its Creator. This world does not belong to us, to redefine according to our own twisted desires. And every attempt to do so incurs God's judgement & temporal suffering.
But who cares? Why does it really matter if we just want to be nice & not judge people harshly? Very simply, it matters because God gave these gifts to men inequally for two very specific & related reasons: God uses our invidual, inequal gifts through our respective good works to serve our neighbor, & this is to His glory.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. –Ephesians 2:10
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. –Matthew 5:16
How does the false religion of equalism serve to upend God's plan? If you are equal to your brother, your neighbor, & everyone you meet, then you've all been reduced to interchangeable cogs. At any moment, any one of you could fulfill any role or duty equally. This is how we ended up with absurdities like girl firefighters who can't carry your loved ones from a burning building. This is how we ended up with African Americans in Ivy League universities with SAT scores 280 points lower than Asians. Since everyone is "equal," surely the test must be broken. Never mind that they're just as underwhelming as students in college as they were in high school. That's just more systemic racism, not their own created inadequacy to the task.
Here is how God created the world & commanded us to live within it: those with gifts are to use them to serve our neighbors. Are you strong & fearless? Protect the weak. Are you compassionate & nurturing? Comfort the sick & grieving. Are you terribly clever? Teach people something that can help them in their own lives. Are you utterly unremarkable in any way whatsoever? Great, work hard in your vocation as a parent & neighbor. Be a moral example & reliable friend & neighbor to all.
The false god of equalism essentially extends the bystander effect into all of society. Everyone just stands around watching mute while neighbors suffer, because really anybody can help. And come to think of it, how can that guy really be in trouble if he's my equal & I'm doing just fine. He should probably just pull himself up by his bootstraps.
Satan is doing everything in his limited power to destroy this world. He works tirelessly to befoul, corrupt, & upend every corner of Creation. Today some of Satan's greatest helpers are purported Christians who engergetically chant his lies in order to drown out God's Truths. The faithful remnant cannot serve God by remaining silent, even when it is our own brothers who commit these terrible sins.
Stop pretending all men are created equal. The false religion of equalism is actively destructive toward Creation, & blasphemy against its Creator. Repent. And then go work inequally in the world according to your unique gifts. God made you inequal for a reason, & finding that is one of the greatest blessings this side of eternity.
